The Davidson Lectureship
The Davidson Lectureship at Concord Academy was established in 1966 by Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Davidson in honor of their two daughters, Anne E. Davidson Kidder ’62 and Jane S. Davidson ’64. Each year, the lectureship invites a distinguished guest to CA to speak to the campus community.
Recent Davidson Lecturers include Pulitzer Prize-winning editor for The New York Times, Julia D. Preston '69; documentary filmmaker Nancy D. Kates ’80; baseball journalist and television analyst, Peter Gammons; physics author, Alan Lightman; former US poet laureate, Robert Pinsky; historian and author, Doris Kearns Goodwin; author, Susan Minot; and filmmaker and writer, John Sayles.
