Interview
Schedule an on-campus interview. While interviews are not required for admission to Concord Academy (particularly for students who live overseas), we do encourage families to visit our campus and speak with an admissions representative.
We conduct interviews Monday through Friday and one Saturday a month from September through the end of January (Click here to see full visit schedule). Recognizing that boarding families’ schedules are less flexible than those of day families, we set aside the majority of our Friday and Monday interviews and reserve Saturday interview spots for boarders. Interviews fill up fast—if you wait until November or December to schedule an appointment, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your visit request. Please notify us of your intentions to be in the area as soon as you begin making your school visit plans.
Letters of Recommendation
In September or October of the year you are applying to CA, speak to adult members of your school community about writing letters of recommendation on your behalf. We encourage these adults to submit their letters of recommendation after December 1 so that they may know you that much better when writing on your behalf.
Standardized Test Scores
Concord Academy requires standardized test results. If you are a prospective 9th or 10th grader, register for and take either the SSAT or ISEE. We accept results from tests taken during your current school year. We will not consider results from tests taken after January 15. CA’s SSAT code is 2560. CA’s ISEE code is 220640.
If you are a prospective 11th grader, register for and take the PSAT/SAT test.
If English is your second language and/or if you have attended an English speaking school for less than three years, we require you to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language exam (TOEFL).
Family Form A
Have your parent or guardian submit the Family Form A along with the application fee as soon as you are sure that you would like to apply to Concord Academy (no later than January 15, the deadline for the full application).
Financial Aid
Students applying for financial aid should return the Request for Financial Aid Application Form A1 postcard as soon as possible (no later than January 15). When we receive this postcard, we will mail you financial aid information and a checklist of what is required to complete your application. Completed applications are due January 31. Required documents include a signed federal tax return with all supporting schedules from either the current year or the previous year, copies of W-2s from all working parents (or IRS Form 1099 and a Business/Farm Statement if self-employed), and a signed copy of IRS Form 4506 (do not include the $39 fee). Each parent household must also complete a parent financial statement.
Application
Students who are applying to CA may submit either a hard copy of the Concord Academy application or the downloadable version of the application. While teachers are welcome to submit the Common Application recommendation forms available from the Association of Boarding Schools rather than CA’s versions of these forms, we ask prospective students to submit Forms A and B (Family Form and Student Application Form, respectively) from the Concord Academy admissions application.
Return all other application forms to the Concord Academy Admissions Office by January 15.
