CA Theatre Director Wins Prestigious Award

Congratulations to David R. Gammons, Concord Academy’s theatre program director.

Gammons’ production of Red received the Outstanding Production award at the 30th annual Elliot Norton Awards. Red was the most nominated single production at the awards, with a total of five nominations and two wins. The play revolves around the life of artist Mark Rothko. “Receiving the award for Outstanding Production is truly an honor, as it points to all aspects of the show: acting, directing and design . . . I am so proud and pleased at the success of the production and to be recognized by the Boston Theatre Critics Association,” said Gammons.
